Mar. 20 - The BBC science fiction TV show Torchwood is generating a lot of discussion around its pioneering alternate reality game.
The spinoff from the hit Dr. Who series is engaging with Torchwood fans through an intricate and mysterious set of websites where fans are encouraged to interact with characters from the show to help solve weekly missions. Reuters Technology Correspondent Matt Cowan visits Cardiff to talk to the people behind the show and the… Continue

Here is the beginning, I feel, of movement toward a consolidated Hulk/Banner. Hulk knows in his grey heart that it was Banner not giving in to the despair which would have allowed Mercy to kill them both which allowed Hulk to destroy her (temporarily). Bruce is able to talk to Hulk in dreams and reason with him and that conversation prompts Hulk to listen to Clay and Rick and be a bit more cooperative. He talks about them being Bruce's… Continue

1) Betty is done with Bruce for awhile. After being injured in his last transformation severely enough that she was admitted, she leaves the hospital (AMA-Against Medical Advice I have to point out ) with Ramon. Betty writes a "Dear Bruce" note for him, but it falls under the bed and is thrown out by the cleaning lady. This will set up some great relationship moments for Bruce, Betty, and… Continue

Second prints of sold out comics are coming in droves this week. Angel, JLA, and Thor lead the pack of big titles. New overstreets are here, remember the HC has a limited print run. Lastly for those wanting a copy of Killing joke look no further as a brand new HC debuts this week.
The big problem with X-Factor (this original team made up of the first group of X-Men) for me and many of the X-Men/Star Wars generation of fans (coming after the Flash Gordon/Davy Crockett and James Bond/Star Trek generations and before the Pokemon/Harry Potter one) is threefold...at least.
First of all, it necessitated bringing back Jean Grey from the dead...kinda gutting one of THE big stories of the new X-Men team. It turns… Continue

Born in 1955, Dave Stevens is best known for his amazing 80s character The Rocketeer. I absolutely loved that book and often tried to imitate Stevens' realistic-cartoony art style when I was a high schooler. The comic also brought back to the limelight 40s and 50s pin-up queen, Betty Page. Stevens was instrumental in making sure that Ms. Page received some financial benefit from the use of her image on everything from t-shirts to magnets. He had… Continue

Eric "Mr. Age of Bronze" Shanower is a HUGE Oz fan. His publishing house is even named Hungry Tiger Press after a lesser-known Oz character. He's done some amazing Oz comics for First Comics and, now, Marvel has recruited him to adapt the first book with artist Skottie Young. These start in June and, brother, if you want something to hand a new comics reader...this will be it. If you've never read the book, you're in for a surprise. The wicked… Continue
So, now we come to issue #335, which appears to be a breather issue for Todd McFarland as we step away from SHIELD, Gamma Base, Betty, Rick and all the gang. This is a done-in-one story by Peter David and guest artist, John Ridgway. Ridgway is a British comic artist, being the one man to draw Joe Dredd without his helmet, and has worked on Doctor Who, Marvelman, and Hellblazer. Here, his realistic/horror-style is utilized well with a tale pitting… Continue
