The Ebay Feedback System is Broken

I buy a lot more than I sell on Ebay, mostly because I find selling anything on the site more hassle than it’s worth most of the time.  The problem isn’t with using the site, which is a breeze.  The problem is dealing with other Ebay users and their often irrational demands.  This is compounded [...]

Even Disney theme parks are cutting jobs

It’s a bad sign when even “The happiest place on Earth” has to lay off employees.  Due to declines in attendance and revenue, Disney says they will be laying off an unspecified number of employees.  If I could afford a vacation to Disney this year, I’d probably be a little depressed walking around, knowing that [...]

Tweetback Spam

Okay, it looks like I jumped on the Tweetback bandwagon a little early.  In the last few days, one of the blogs I installed the TweetBacks Wordpress plug-in on received over 1500 spam tweetbacks.  I was forced to delete the plug-in for now.  I also had it installed on this blog, but did not receive [...]

TweetBacks

The Twitter service has slowly grown on me in the last year or so.  At first, I didn’t see what all the hype was about.  I hate text messages with a passion (heck, it took me years to even warm up to the concept of cell phones).  Then, I started using the service to promote [...]

Life, The Universe, and FormSpring

It’s been several months since I last updated this blog, which was originally a staff blog I posted to as part of my job as Digital Media Manager at the Noblesville Daily Times.  As some of you may know, the Times closed at the end of August, 2008.  Since then, a new, smaller version of [...]

Marvel fans...superior to DC fans in every way.
I absolutely agree with everything you said. What made me the most angry at the showing I went to was that someone had their 4 or 5 year old child there.
Okay, the Nixon makeup was pretty cheesy. But the rest of the 'complaints".... ehhh... didn't bother me. As for Dr. Manhattans nudity? It was no big deal to me. (no pun intended *chuckles*) I honestly didn't even notice it at first. Then it was li...

I agree. I also found nothing wrong with the music.
Like the visuals, without actual dates on the screen the music had to invoke the time and place of the movie. Wasn't "All along the watchtower" in the original GN? The previous post is correct. "99 Luf balloons" not only invokes imagery of Nuclear...
I mean, I kinda saw the songs as songs of the time. Granted I didn't live during the 80's hardly, but I could figure out why "99 Luft Balloons" is playing...foreshadowing maybe? It is a song about Nuclear Holocaust ya know. I think the movie's st...
I just kept laughing at the music when I saw the film...and I don't think it was during scenes where the director was going for laughter. Actually, there were a lot of giggles in the audience when I saw the movie.

Yeah, I was thinking about reading that sometime thanks for the advice :) I'm really not a fan of Batman himself, I'm a villain fan of the Batman series (and DC in general). I'm a weird one. Right now I'm reading HUSH: Volume Two. And I just got done reading Grant Morrison's Batman: Asylum. I loved the morbid art.

You should talk to Pop Shop Online also and see if they have any banners or graphics they can send you. The banner spot is 160x600 pixels, by the way, also known as a "standard banner" in online advertising terms.

Claire to have “girlie fun” in Heroes?

File this under “things that make you go… oy.” Contact Music is reporting that Hayden Panettiere, or Claire from Heroes, is “preparing for girl-on-girl love scenes in the next series of HEROES.” According to them, she will be sharing a kiss with her college roommate. But wait — we’re not at the “oy” yet. Here’s where it [...]

Spanish scientists create Daredevil

Well, maybe that’s not completely accurate — but thankfully, there are no radioactive isotopes involved. RichardDawkins.net has reported that Spanish scientists from the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH) have determined that human beings can develop echolocation by producing particular kinds of tongue clicks. Lead author Juan Antonio Martínez said that “in certain circumstances, we humans could [...]

Final Fantasy Meets Cartoonist Gipi… sort of

Cartoonist Carly Monardo has taken it upon herself a challenge: take the characters from one story and redesign them to fit another story or artist’s style.  Dubbed the “Whirring Blender Design Challenge” (and posted on a blog of the same title), she’s done this on several occasions… but this recent one seems like the most [...]

B:DC June Challenge RESULTS! It’s the moment we’ve all been anticipating for this whole armpit-hot month of June, the B:DC Challenge entries! But wait, before you get to excited, I have some bad news: I was the only person in the universe who participated in this month’s challenge. Yeah. Just me. It’s [...]

Linkarama@Newsarama

The holiday weekend has resulted in some super slim pickings for links. Here are the few I found… “Each of the 50 stars on the costume of this freedom-loving champion represents a different state—and a different superpower related to that state!”: Captain America could have stayed dead indefinitely, and America would have been well covered in [...]
