The "group" picture, above, is the recently released cover to "Batman & Robin #1" by Grant Morrison & Frank Quietly, the creators of "All-Star Superman" & "WE3". The series launches in June. Don't Miss it!

Yeah pretty lame name, but it's the best I could think of. I was thinking "The Batcave' or something, but ah well.

Anyways, with Battle for The Cowl nearing it's end and the recent revamps announced by DC, Batman & Robin, Red Robin, Streets of Gotham, Gotham City Sirens, and of course, revamps of the two title series, Batman & Detective Comics, it's a GREAT TIME TO BE A BATMAN FAN! For the rundown on the new titles after Battle for the Cowl, look below...

Batman & Robin (by Grant Morrison & Frank Quietly)
Batman (by Judd Winick & Ed Benes)
Detective Comics (Feat. Batwoman & The Question in Co-Features, by Greg Rucka JH Williams)
Red Robin (by Chris Yost & Roman Bachs)
Batman: Streets of Gotham (by Paul Dini & Dustin Ngyuen)
Gotham City Sirens (feat. Catwoman, Harley Quinn, & Poison Ivy by Paul Dini & Gulliem March)
The Outsiders (by Peter Tomasi & Trevor Scott/Lee Garbet)

Now, i dont know about you guys, but im excited as HELL! My two favorite current Batman writers Grant Morrison & Paul Dini, not to mention art by fantastic guys who've been having runs on Batman/Detective Comics, Dustin Nguyen (sp?), Gulliem March, and the always phenomenal Frank Quietly.

I'm particualry suprised to see Harley Quinn get a spot in a starring position once again in a Bat-book, as she is my favorite of the Bat-women....and Paul Dini would defnitely be my pick to showcase Harley busting ass through Gotham City, as he does it, the way no one else can, when it comes to Harley and the Bat-Girls.

Superpowered Prose: China Mieville’s KING RAT

You could argue that the sewer-trolling, wall-shimmying, supernaturally powered protagonist of China Mieville’s King Rat is not really a superhero. He doesn’t wear a crazy costume, he doesn’t really fight crime, and since he counts garbage-eating as one of his powers, maybe there’s good reason to distance him from the likes of Superman and Spider-Man. [...]

The Fourth Kind: A Failed Experiment in Suggestibility

“The Fourth Kind” begins with its lead actress, Milla Jovovich, insisting that “real” footage was used wherever possible throughout the film, including audio and film recordings. This is followed by the “real” footage of the film’s director interviewing a strikingly alien-looking “real” Dr. Abigail Tyler. This creepy woman starts to ramble on, giving clues [...]

“Anyone with half a brain who had a love for Diana will hate it”: That’s Margaret Funnell, co-founder of the Diana Circle UK, lashing out against Bluewater Productions’ Female Force biographical comic book about Princess Diana. From the looks of the samples shown, and the looks of the other Female Force bio-comics, Funnell seems right [...]

The Rumpus has a fantastic interview up with Eddie Campbell, first talking about the collection of his Alec stories, “The Years Have Pants,” but ultimately going through his career, the state of making comics, his fan reactions, etc. Here’s a great highlight: Campbell: No, the reason I got out of it was because it was becoming more—the [...]
